Just in time for the holidays, Imagine Etiquette has published the Self-Esteem, Value, and Awareness (SEVA) Guide Book for Parents, written by Bernadette Fernandez, Founder, and Director of Imagine Etiquette. Bernadette has distilled years of experience and learning into this short, easy-to-read booklet that teaches parents how to instill confidence, self-esteem, and self-value in all children, regardless of age.
The SEVA Guide delves into the origins of her curriculum, commonly referred to as social-emotional learning (SEL), which explains the benefits of consciously instilling healthy values in children. “SEVA learning is essential now more than ever as building confidence in our children is imperative to nurturing their overall well-being,” said Mrs. Fernandez. “Schools primarily focus on academics and miss the opportunity of teaching the whole child core values that mold character, integrity, confidence, and respect for themselves and others.”
Mrs. Fernandez’s program focuses on the themes, Encourage, Empower, and Elevate, defined in the new guide. She also provides an explanation of children benefiting from practicing daily affirmations. Confidence building is imperative to the success of children. Therefore, reciting daily affirmations is the perfect place for children to begin internalizing their self-value and self-worth.
The guide includes six top parenting tips that have positively impacted families for 20 years. “I know that we are in the midst of difficult and unprecedented times, and the fact that we are in the holiday season probably isn’t helping anyone,” said Bernadette. “I am grateful to be able to share my experience with families and hope that my advice will not only help spread a little joy but also encourage, empower, and elevate!”
